66-Year-Old Man Drowns at Zuma Beach

He may have had a heart attack, officials say.

A 66-year-old man who may have had a heart attack while swimming at Zuma Beach died today.

Lifeguards got the man out of the water about 3:45 p.m. but were unsuccessful in trying to revive him, Sgt. Edward Sheridan of the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said.

The man's name was not immediately available. A coroner's investigator was dispatched to pick up the body.

So sorry to hear this So very young too. Was that why the helicopter was so high in the sky and in the same spot for almost an hour? Toni

Poor guy was sitting right next to us I saw the whole thing :-( I'm still traumatized
