Actor Gary Oldman Rips on Malibu Deputy who Arrested Mel Gibson -- and Malibu Itself

"Mel Gibson is in a town that’s run by Jews and he said the wrong thing because he’s actually bitten the hand that I guess has fed him," Playboy Magazine quotes Oldman as saying.

An old story resurfaces: Actor Gary Oldman came to the defense of Mel Gibson, saying the Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy who in 2006 endured an anti-Semitic rant after he arrested Gibson and then later sued the actor probably has used similar language.

In an interview with Playboy magazine published Monday, Oldman said everyone is a hypocrite.

"The policeman who arrested him has never used the word N-er or that f- Jew?" Oldman is quoted in the question-and-answer format interview.

He also criticizes Malibu as being run by Jews:

Mel Gibson is in a town that’s run by Jews and he said the wrong thing because he’s actually bitten the hand that I guess has fed him—and doesn’t need to feed him anymore because he’s got enough dough. He’s like an outcast, a leper, you know?

In response, the deputy who made the infamous arrest told TMZ, no, he's never used those words.

James Mee said he's Jewish, so no, he wouldn't disparage someone for being Jewish.

And, as for the N-word, "The N-word is a scary word.  I would never even dream of using it. It sickens me that anyone would use that word," Mee told TMZ.
