A vehicle slamming into a pole knocked out power and phone service for dozens of Malibu homes Thursday morning.
The crash, which in involved a utility pole, was reported around 2 a.m. on Kanan Dume Road north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to reports.
Some 77 Southern California Edison customers were without power, according to SCE. Power is expected to be restored by 4 p.m.
Residents along Kanan Dume Road reported their land line phone service was also disrupted.
The crash is under investigation.
