DUI Checkpoint Planned in Malibu
The checkpoint is aimed at reducing the amount of alcohol-related deaths in Malibu.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will hold a DUI checkpoint this week in Malibu.
The checkpoint will be held on Friday, July 12 at an undisclosed location within the city limits of Malibu between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m., according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.
Deputies will be checking drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment.
Funding for this checkpoint is provided to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety to the city of Malibu, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
