Ferrari Driver Killed in Crash West of Malibu

The fiery crash occurred Thursday night near Camarillo and Point Mugu, west of Malibu.

A Ferrari driver was killed and a passenger was injured in a fiery crash in Ventura County west of Malibu, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The driver, who was identified as a 52-year-old Morro Bay man, was traveling north on Los Posas Road near Pacific Coast Highway when the 2004 Ferrari 360 plunged off the road and into an irrigation ditch, bursting into flames near Camarillo and Point Mugu.

The crash was reported just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the 23-year-old was treated for burns at a nearby hospital, the CHP reported.
