Firefighters were working tonight to find four hikers stranded in a remote area of Malibu Creek State Park, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The call about the hikers came at about 7 p.m., Capt. Roland Sprewell said.
They reportedly are on some rocks between several bodies of water, Sprewell said.
He said a helicopter was dispatched to the scene, but was unable to reach the hikers.
An urban search and rescue team of 35 people was working to locate the hikers, who weren't believed to be injured, Sprewell said.
