Hollywood Man With Back Injury Airlifted To Safety
The man was injured while jumping into an area of Malibu Creek State Park known as the "Rock Pool."
A 30-year-old Hollywood man was flown to a hospital with a back injury Sunday in the Santa Monica Mountains above Malibu.
The man called for help about 7:40 p.m. Sunday in Malibu Creek State Park, according to Capt. David Katz, a spokesman for Malibu Search and Rescue.
Members of LACO Fire Engine 67 hiked in and found the man, who was injured while jumping into an area called the "Rock Pool," according to Katz.
A Los Angeles County Fire copter 18 flew the man to safety, Katz said.
