Judge: Lohan Must Have 3 Therapy Sessions Per Week

A judge Wednesday ordered actress Lindsay Lohan -- who spent 90 days in a rehabilitation facility -- to undergo three therapy sessions a week in connection with her no contest plea to a pair of misdemeanor charges stemming from a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney said Lohan must attend the therapy sessions unless she is out of town, in which case she could participate via Skype.

The therapy sessions were recommended by Richard Taite, founder and chief executive officer of Cliffside Malibu, the facility where Lohan completed her court-ordered rehabilitation program.

"Our entire clinical team is in unanimous agreement that if these sessions are not required by the court and attendance verified once a month to ensure accountability, it is a set up for almost certain failure," Taite wrote in a letter to the judge.

"We couldn't be happier with the progress Ms. Lohan has made in building a solid foundation from which to continue the excellent work she has begun here at Cliffside Malibu," Taite added in the letter.

Lohan was not in court for the hearing, but was represented by her attorney, Shawn Holley.

The 90-day rehab stay was ordered after Lohan pleaded no contest March 18 to charges of reckless driving and lying to police after rear-ending a dump truck on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica June 8, 2012, and falsely telling officers that her Porsche had been driven by her assistant.
