Malibu House Fire May Be Meth-Related, Dispatcher Says

The structure fire was near 1250 Encinal Canyon Road.

A structure fire near 1250 Encinal Canyon Road in the Malibu may have resulted from a methamphetamine operation, a dispatcher said.

The fire was reported about 5:45 p.m. was knocked down by about 6:20 p.m.

A Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said one person was burned -- the dispatcher does not know the person's gender or condition.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fire as possibly related to manufacturing methamphetamine, the dispatcher said.
