Man Found Dead on Malibu Beach Identified

Kevin Grenon, 51, had recently moved from Burbank to Malibu, according to a friend. No cause of death has been determined.

 on Westward Beach in Malibu has been identified as 51-year-old Kevin Grenon, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner. A cause of death has not been determined.

A friend of Grenon told Malibu Patch that Grenon had moved from Burbank to Malibu about a week before his death. A funeral is expected to be held Tuesday.

Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Troy Ewing, the homicide detective in charge of the investigation, could not be reached for comment Friday morning.

Grenon was found with a gash on his forehead, according to witness Toni Berget, who lives in the area and saw the body on the beach Monday afternoon. There are numerous rocks in the water in that area.
