The driver of the Ferrari was trapped inside the vehicle as it flew off Las Posas Road, midway between Camarillo and Point Mugu. The car left the roadway at a curve near a bridge about a half mile north of Pacific Coast Highway.

The CHP reported that the car had been southbound and flipped several times, coming to a rest on fire in a ditch east of the roadway, near a raspberry field.
