Man Loses Finger in Rope Accident in Escondido Falls

The man was rescued by Malibu Search and Rescue and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

At 12:45 p.m. today Malibu Search and Rescue and the Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call to respond to a 27-year-old male nursing student who had a finger amputated in a rope accident at the Escondido Falls. 

Malibu Search and Rescue Captain David J. Katz said the man hiked from the falls to an awaiting ambulance by fire and ambulance personnel and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
