PCH Reopens Following Accident

Malibu Emergency Operations Center confirms lanes in both directions are open.

A traffic accident prompted lanes in both directions of Pacific Coast Highway to be closed early Thursday evening when a single vehicle struck at least one pole, leading to live electrical wires on the road.

The closure was east of Las Flores Canyon Road on PCH in Malibu just before 7 p.m., according to Lt. Josh Thai of the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

The female driver of the vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was airlifted by helicopter to a medical center.
