Sheriff Searching for Malibu Harassment Suspect

A Latino man allegedly chased two girls at Malibu Civic Center before driving off.

Detectives in Malibu Saturday investigated a report of a man who allegedly jumped out of a dirty black pickup truck and chased two girls for a short distance in the Malibu Civic Center.

The Sheriff's Department said today that the girls took shelter in a business, and the suspect drove off.

Deputies were called to the 3500 block of Cross Creek Road at 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to a department statement.

Deputies searched the area for the suspect and his vehicle but were unable to find anything.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot, 7-inch tall Latino man between the age of 30 and 40, wearing a dark jacket, jeans and a baseball hat. He also has a mole on the right side of his face.
