Malibu residents are invited to take part in a community meeting that will focus on how to protect homes from fires.
The free event is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Fire Camp 8 in Malibu, according to organizer Jane Kagon.
"I want have this community forum so everyone in the community is up-to-date on the latest fire-safety information and practices, is also be able to ask questions to get solid answers and to begin to begin to build a community fire safety plan in case of emergencies," Kagon said.
The speakers include Brad Davis, Malibu Emergency Services Coordinator; Maria Grycan, LA County Fire Community Outreach Officer; and Bobby Milstein, President of SoCal Fire Supply.
