Tour Bus Stuck on Carbon Canyon Road in Malibu

The city believes the bus will be there for several hours.

A double-deck tour bus trying to make a turn finds itself stuck on Carbon Canyon Road, a narrow, winding dead-end mountain road in Malibu, according to information from the city and the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station.

The bus, which has no passengers on it, appeared to have been trying to make a turn and got "stuck in some dirt," according to Lt. Patrick Mathers of the Malibu/Lost Hills Station. There are no injuries reported.

Mathers said that a heavy-duty tow truck is on the way, and the city estimates the process of freeing the bus will take roughly 2-4 hours, adding that the Sheriff's station first got the call at 1 p.m. Friday afternoon.
