Video Shows Malibu Search & Rescue, Firefighters Kicking it Into High Gear

The video chronicles the training operation, which included Malibu Search and Rescue and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A new video posted to YouTube this week shows the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Malibu Search and Rescue Team and others training in over the side rescues.

The video chronicles the training operation, which included the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The men and women of Malibu SAR and L.A. County Fire can be seen rappelling down into canyons, hoisting volunteer "victims" into helicopters and the entire group working together.

The video was shot by Griffin Davies and edited by Breeana Kovelman.

Malibu Search and Rescue members are reserve sheriff’s deputies who volunteer for $1 a year, and who partner with civilians who give their time for free.
