City of Malibu Seeks Student Poll Workers

Students interested in the program must fill out applications by Feb. 12.

The Student Poll Worker Program applications for the City of Malibu General Municipal Election will be accepted through Feb. 12, according to the City of Malibu. The election is on April 8.

The requirements are that applicants must be 16 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, have a G.P.A. of 2.5 or greater at their school, have permission from a parent and teacher, and must have submitted a nomination form.

The program "provides students with an opportunity to participate in the democratic process at its most fundamental level, the polling place. All students participating in the program will earn community service/service learning credit and receive a $110 stipend," according to the City of Malibu.
