Delay Likely for Hearing on Malibu Chain Store Ordinance

A Malibu City Council public hearing on the proposed formula retail ordinance, which seeks to limit chain stores in Malibu's Civic Center, will likely not be heard until later this month.

The hearing is scheduled for the Sept. 9 meeting at Malibu City Hall. However, city staff is recommending a delay until Sept. 23.

The delay is meant to give city staff more time for research, Malibu's Planning Director Joyce Parker-Bozylinski told Malibu Patch.
