Large-Scale Filming Event To Take Place at the Malibu Pier

The filming event will take place at the Malibu Pier over the next few weeks.

California State Parks is considering a permit for a large-scale filming event at the Malibu Pier over several weeks in January.

Film shooting preparation is scheduled to begin on Jan. 9 and run through Jan. 11, and filming will run from Jan. 14-18, with set removal set for Jan. 22-23, according to Olivia Damavandi, Malibu's media information officer.

According to the California Film Commission, the project, which is a feature film, is named "10 Things I Hate About Life." The permit is in the final stages of being approved, according to a spokesman for the Commission.

A movie by that name in the International Movie Database is currently in production under director Gil Junger.

The Malibu Pier is operated by the State of California.
