Homeowners to Protest Plan to Bring Tigers into Neighborhood

A neighborhood near Malibu plans to take to the streets Tuesday to protest a plan to bring up to five tigers to a home for filming.

The protest is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the Ventura County Planning Division, 800 Victoria St., according to organizers.

The home at 11077 Pacific View Avenue is surrounded by Point Mugu State Park to the north, and rural, private properties to the east, south and west.

A petition, called "Homeowners and residents : Oppose Tigers in Residential Neighborhoods," has popped up on Change.org, and had nearly 300 signatures as of Monday night.

Comment on the proposal is due by Aug. 26.
