Malibu Planning Commission Approves Dan Blocker Beach Project

The $5.5 million project could start in April to make the beach more accessible to the public.

The Malibu Planning Commission approved a Coastal Development Permit (CDP) for the Dan Blocker Beach project on Tuesday.

The project will cost $5.5 million to make the beach fully accessible to the public, reports the Malibu Times. The project could start in April.

The project "includes construction of 14 parking spaces and one ADA-compliant space, public viewing areas and a public restroom along the one-mile stretch of beach near Pacific Coast Highway and Corral Canyon Road," according to the article.
