The Malibu Planning Commission will no longer meet on Tuesdays, starting in this week.
Commissioners voted in June to move the meetings to the first and third Mondays of the month, instead of the first and third Tuesdays.
The new date will go into effect on Monday, Sept. 17, according to Malibu administrative analyst Jessica Blair.
Commissioner John Mazza, who has since been elected as chair of the commission, originally requested the change meetings be changed to Monday so that the local newspapers, the Malibu Times and the Surfside News, are able to attend without running into their deadlines.
“We have been missing coverage from the newspapers,” Mazza said previously.
The meetings will not conflict with Malibu City Council meetings, which are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month.
