Red Flag Warning Prompts City to Close Charmlee, Trancas Canyon Parks

The parks will remain closed through at least 6 p.m. Sunday, when the warning is expected to be lifted.

Malibu closed Charmlee Wilderness Park and Trancas Canyon Park at sunset Thursday as a precautionary measure while a Red Flag Warning is in effect.

The parks will remain closed through at least 6 p.m. Sunday, when the warning is expected to be lifted, according to the city.

"Should the Red Flag Warning be extended, the parks will remained closed," the city said in a statement.
