Bob Cat Killed on Kanan Road

While bobcats are far more common in the Santa Monica Mountains than Lions, I was still surprised to see this one dead in the median on Kanan road on Monday. It was fairly young and appears to have been hit by a vehicle. What a sad sight. My wife and I actually heard one in the pine trees out behind our house two nights ago. It was having an argument with something else in the middle of the night. I shone my flashlight over the fence but could see nothing in the bush beneath the trees. My neighbor wonders if it was the same one, fleeing from a fight.
