Seth Riley, NPS Ecologist, to Speak at Gillette Ranch
Are you afraid of wild animals? Are they afraid of you? Did you see the picture of P-23 on Mulholland? The cyclist did just fine. Come to a talk with a National Park Service ecologist/UCLA professor who spends his time dealing with the top carnivores in our mountains. He helped design the satellite/radio collar monitoring system that keeps track of local Bob Cats and Mountain Lions. Dr. Riley will be presenting a talk related to his research, “Urban Carnivores, Ecology, Conflict and Conservation” on September 7th at the Gillette Ranch Auditorium at 1:00 pm and will answer your questions and sign his latest book. Reservations are appreciated, but not necessary. samo@wnpa.gov or 805 3702302
