Concert to Benefit Juan Cabrillo Elementary

A concert planned for later this month will help kids at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School get to take part in off-campus learning opportunities.

The fourth and fifth graders will use money raised at the Nov. 21 Rock and Roll Day for a Disney Behind the Scenes field trip.

The concert will feature progressive rock group Dume, a trio made up of locals Gannon Earhart, Ian Hall and Daniel Kotlyar as well as Trevor and Austin McCarthy, who blend hip hop and pop with beat boxing.

The twins will auction off beat-box lessons and a "twin hangout" at the event, while Dume will offer a full two-hour concert at a location of the winner's choice.

The event takes place at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21 in Juan Cabrillo's multipurpose room. Tickets are $10 and food and merchandise will be available for an additional charge.
