Malibu High PCB Cleanup Plan Rejected by EPA

The EPA says the plan was incomplete and lacked thoroughness.

The Environmental Protection Agency has rejected a plan put forth by an environmental cleanup firm contracted to remove PCB, a potential carcinogen, found at Malibu High School, the Malibu Times reported.

The EPA said the plan by Environ, the firm contracted by Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, was incomplete and lacked thoroughness. The firm has until July 4 to submit a new plan.
