The dance performance will take place on Jan. 29, starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Center for the Arts at Pepperdine University will present a dance performance that will bring to life the sounds and movements of Uganda on Jan. 29, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Twenty-one performers, ages 13 to 21, will perform with powerful drums and vocals and dramatic choreography, according to the Center of the Arts.
"With artistic director Peter Kasule and special guest Rachel Magoola (Afrigo Band) leading the way, Spirit of Uganda celebrates the cultural roots and newer offshoots of this lush and diverse nation," states the Center of the Arts.
