Education Foundation Almost $1 Million Short of Goal

The Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation seeks donations by its Jan. 31 deadline.

The Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation is approximately $1 million short of its fundraising goal to raise $4 million, reports the Santa Monica Daily Press.

The campaign was started to raise money to hire more teachers' aides, reduce class sizes, and provide arts instruction for elementary school students, according to the Daily Press article.

"Officials with the Ed Foundation are encouraging families, community members and business leaders to donate to the Vision for Student Success before the Jan. 31 deadline," the article says.
