School District Seeks Malibu Representation on Financial Oversight Committee
The position will remain open until filled.
The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District is seeking Malibu applicants with business or financial expertise for an opening on the Financial Oversight Committee.
The FOC is an advisory committee to the Board of Education with responsibilities to review any matters potentially having a significant impact on district finances before the board takes action. The committee will also assist the district in educating the general public concerning school finance issues, including creating reader-friendly budget information.
FOC meetings are currently scheduled once a month at 7 p.m. in the District Office.

Application forms are available through the Superintendent’s Office or on the SMMUSD website at www.smmusd.org/fiscal/financialDAC.html. Applications should be mailed to the district office at 1651 16th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404, faxed to 310-581-1138, or scanned and emailed to swahrenbrock@smmusd.org.
