Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society leads a bird walk on the 4th (not the last) Sunday of every month.
Beginners welcome! Come and meet your neighboring birds. Open and free to all, membership not needed. Binoculars supplied if you have none. Spotting scopes provided. Meet at the first footbridge near the parking lot. In 1.5-3 hours we'll bird the short distance to the beach side of the lagoon. 40-70 species is typical; wintertime is the birdiest.
Adult Walk 8:30 a.m. – Beginners and experienced.
Children and Parents Walk 10am. -11am. For parents and younger children. See separate announcement.
[Directions] Entrance to parking lot ($12 currently) is on Pacific Coast Hwy. across from Cross Creek Road, west of Malibu Pier, Adamson House and Malibu Creek.
