Little League All-Stars Head to District Playoffs
Malibu baseball and softball teams open tournaments in Culver City and West Los Angeles.
The Little League District 25 All-Star baseball and softball tournaments begin this weekend in Culver City and West Los Angeles. Malibu teams will be vying for championships in several divisions.
The first Malibu team to take the field will be the 9- and 10-year-old baseball squad, which will face Santa Monica West on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Culver City. The winner will play City of Angels or Culver City on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Ladera Heights.
In the 11-12 baseball tournament, Malibu will open against Santa Monica West in Culver City on Sunday at 10 a.m. The winner will face either Ladera or Culver Marina on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Culver City.

Malibu's 9-10 softball squad will open its tournament on Sunday at 4:15 p.m. against Culver City. The winner will face West LA or Beverly Hills on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the West Los Angeles Little League field.
In the 10-11 baseball tournament, Malibu will face Wrigley in Ladera Heights on Monday at 5:30 p.m. The winner will take on Culver City, Beverly Hills or Santa Monica East in Ladera Heights on July 1 at 5:30 p.m.
