Local Soccer Squad Wins Oxnard Tournament
The Malibu AYSO GU 12 Extra team wins its second consecutive tournament.
The Malibu AYSO GU12 Extra team won this past weekend's Oxnard Sports Festival tournament at Fremont Park in convincing fashion.
The Blues had a 7-0 victory over Thousand Oaks Saturday. This was followed by a 6-1 win in a rivalry contest against Valencia. The next day, Malibu defeated a feisty Ventura team, 4-0. The tournament concluded with a dramatic 2-1 victory for the Blues over Duarte/Arcadia to seal the championship.
The Blues have won back-to-back tournaments and have made the championship round in all the tournaments in which they have participated.
