Malibu Baseball Headed to San Diego Lions Tournament Championship
Behind the offense of Chase Lambert and Alvie Alvarado, the Sharks beat Morse High of San Diego 11-4 and are headed to the tournament championship game.
Junior Chase Lambert went 5-for-5 with a double, three runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases while senior Alvaro "Alvie" Alvarado went 3-for-4 with three doubles as the Malibu baseball team beat Morse High School 11-4 to advance to the championship game of the San Diego Lions tournament.
The Sharks took a 4-0 lead early, but the tough division 3 opponent Morse High School did not give up answering back with three runs to make the score 4-3.
The score was 5-4 Sharks in the 6th inning before the Sharks offense put the game away by scoring six runs in their final two at bats to end the score 11-4.

Freshman Ezra Allen pitched 4 great innings of relief for the win. Allen is now 3-0 on the year.
In addition to a perfect 5-for-5 game from Lambert and the tourney surge of Alvarado, who is batting 8-for-12 in the tournament with six doubles and five RBIs, freshman Dylan Ross was 2-for-3 and sophomore's Bronson Bard and Austin George each had two hits and two RBI's a piece to help the Sharks put up 11 runs.

The Sharks will play Sweetwater High of San Diego on Thursday, to determine the tournament champion.
The Sharks are now 12-1 on the year and continue their best start in school history.
