Malibu Baseball Ties School Record for Wins
Malibu High tied the school record for wins in a season with a 4-1 victory over Santa Clara.
The Malibu High Sharks baseball team downed Santa Clara (Oxnard) High School 4-1 Wednesday, to improve to 17-3 on the season.
With the victory, the Sharks tied a school record for wins in a season.
Junior Noah Simon pitched a complete game giving up one run, while striking out six and walking none. Simon is now 7-1 on the year with one save. The junior pitchers has a 1.4 ERA and 49 strike outs to three walks this season.

Chase Lambert added two hits and two runs. Sophomore Austin George also had a two hit game, scoring Malibu's other two runs, in addition to some nice defensive plays at third base and freshman Dylan Ross went 3-for-4 in the win.
The Sharks are in sole possession of first place with a 7-1 conference record and 17-3 overall.

There are seven more league games before the CIF playoffs and the Sharks will look to set the school record for wins in a season on Friday versus the same Santa Clara side at Sharks Field at 3:30 p.m.
