Malibu High Water Polo Goalie JoJo White Tops All-CIF Squad

The senior goalie is named CIF Southern Section Division VI Player of the Year. Two other Sharks are on the All-CIF Division VI team.

After a season full of milestones and accolades,  girls water polo player JoJo White just earned one more.

The senior goalie was named CIF Southern Section Division VI Player of the Year. She set a single-season section record with 413 saves to close her career with 1,335 saves, also a section record.

White's excellence in the net led the Sharks to the Division VI title match in Irvine, where they lost to Warren High School of Downey, 8-7, despite 16 blocks by White.

"She did everything she could to help us win," said Malibu coach Tim Segesman, who called White the backbone of the team. "You couldn't ask for more."
