Malibu Wins Second Straight Southern California Invitational

The Malibu Sharks have now won the tournament championship two years in a row.

The Sharks won an exciting 2-1 thriller at the Southern California Invitational recently.

The Malibu Sharks have now won the tournament championship two years in a row.

Junior Chase Lambert pitched 5 innings for the win and knocked in the Sharks' first run, and senior Frank Thomas singled in Lambert for the game's winning run.

Lambert gave up two hits and struck out 10 batters in 5 innings for the win. He also went 1 for 3 with two stolen bases one RBI and one run in the 2-1 victory. He is 2-0 with one save on the year.  Senior Riley Mcmillin pitched two scoreless innings for the save and secured the championship for the Sharks!

Malibu remains undefeated on the season and moves to 5-0. The Sharks open up conference play tomorrow at Fillmore.
