Sharks Football Loses Season Finale
The Malibu High School varsity football team loses a close 27-20 game to Santa Clara.
The 2011 season ended Thursday for the varsity football team with a 27-20 loss in Oxnard to Santa Clara. The game included touchdowns by Malibu seniors Nate Dowler and Devon Baldinger as well as a field goal by senior kicker Chris Navarro, according to the Ventura County Star.
The loss means the Sharks will not be participating in the playoffs, but the season had many positive features, including a 4-1 record at home. The team will lose several talented seniors, but there are plenty of good players returning for 2012. The future looks bright for Malibu High football, literally, as the team .
