Team Blue Wins Hoops Title

Big Bu Blue won the championship game in the Division 6-8 basketball league on Friday at . The final score was 41-34

The team, which includes boys in grades six through eight, has the smallest starting lineup in the league. Great offensive plays between Frankie McGovern and Jordan Lieberman along with lots of tough defense by the rest of the team helped secure the win.

The Big Bu Blue had an amazing turnaround, starting the season with three straight losses, then coming back after the winter break to win five in a row and six of the last seven games to secure the championship. 

The players on the team are Chase Murrell, Jordan Lieberman, Luca Marinaro, Frankie McGovern, Michael Burger, Adam Teel, Max Roth, Alec Kandis and Jacob Goldberg. The head coach is John McGovern and the assistant coach is Mark Burger.
