Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Malibu Patch surf report. Well it's time for a wake-up call! Yep, the small surf is hanging around for another day. So you're going to have to get out of town if you're planning on finding any playful-size waves.
The conditions are fairly clean, with some pretty stiff northeasterly winds that are likely to pick up throughout the day. We've got a combo of mostly steep angled northwest swell and maybe a hint of southwesterly energy in the water.
That's providing some drained-out dumpy lines with a few workable corners. Most spots in the Malibu area are running about knee-high, with the focal points pulling some thigh- to waist-high waves, with maybe a plus set.

There's not much change ... at 7:21 a.m., it dropped to a 1.6 low and will push back up to a 2.7 high at 12:44 p.m.
If you're going to get wet, break out at least a 3/2 fullsuit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature hanging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
