UPDATE: Community Pool To Reopen Monday

Summer hours and swim lessons will resume at the Malibu Community Pool on Monday, June 25, one week later than originally planned.

[Editor's note: The city of Malibu has changed the opening date twice in the past week.]

The Malibu Community Pool will reopen Monday, one week later than originally scheduled because of a delay in receiving a part for the new filtration system.

The Malibu Community Pool, which is located at , will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, according to Malibu's Park & Recreation Department. It had been closed for major repairs.

The pool was originally scheduled to open June 18, but was pushed to June 19, and now has been delayed again to June 25, according to the city of Malibu.

The pool offers a variety of programs from swim lessons to water polo (see attached PDF for a full schedule).

The pool is operated jointly by the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District and the City of Malibu.
