Malipalooza to Feature 1950s Car Show, Live Music

Festival highlights include live musical performances by Stack of 45's, Destiny, The Suspenders, and the Malibu Senior Choir, as well as performances by the Malibu High School Cheerleading Squad, Young Actors Project, and Malibu Performance Group.

The Malipalooza summer festival will bring a 1950s car show, gourmet food trucks and live music to Malibu Saturday.

The free festival, now in its sixth year, is set for Saturday, Aug. 25 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at , located on Pacific Coast Highway at Malibu Canyon Road.

Live musical performances are schedule by Stack of 45's, Destiny, The Suspenders, and the Malibu Senior Choir, as well as performances by the Malibu High School Cheerleading Squad, Young Actors Project, and the Malibu Performance Group.

There will also be a 1950s car show, children's activities, bounce houses, merchandise vendors, crafts and gourmet food trucks.  

The event will conclude with a special film screening of Grease, as part of the City's CineMalibu outdoor summer movie series. The movie will begin at dusk. Participants are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs.
