Outdoor Movies in Malibu Include a Doggie Date Night

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to watch the Sky High Flying Canines that will be performing amazing tricks, stunts, and acrobatics.

The city of Malibu will host two free outdoor movies this summer at Malibu Bluffs Park (24250 Pacific Coast Highway).

The first event, CineMalibu’s™ Comic Adventure, will preview the movie Spiderman (PG-13) on Saturday, July 26. The second event, Doggie Date Night, will preview the movie The Adventures of Milo and Otis (G) on Saturday, Aug. 23. Both movies begin at dusk and will include pre-movie activities. 

CineMalibu’s™ Comic Adventure on July 26 will include an entertaining stunt show before the movie, Spiderman vs Venom. The stunt show will begin at 7:20 p.m. with photo opportunities and an autograph signing. Participants who dress up as their favorite superhero or villain will also receive a give-a-way.

Additional activities include a superhero photo booth, comic book booth, Spiderman memorabilia display, and Son of a Bun food truck. The 2002 movie, Spiderman, starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, will be shown at dusk. 

Pet owners are invited to bring their dogs to the movies for Doggie Date Night on Aug. 23. Treats for both dogs and their owners will be available for purchase from Dogtown Dogs food truck and Malibu Dog Kitchen.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to watch the Sky High Flying Canines that will be performing amazing tricks, stunts, and acrobatics at 7 p.m. The movie, The Adventures of Milo and Otis, will be shown at dusk. All dogs must be kept on a leash, picked up after, and be under the control of the owner at all times. 

CineMalibu™ movies are free to attend and seating is first come, first serve. Arrive early and bring blankets and chairs. Attendees may bring in outside food or purchase food from onsite food trucks; alcohol is not allowed on park grounds.
