Blog: Step Up Mr. Ellison - Malibu Needs Your $$$$

The highest paid executive in the U.S., Larry Ellison, lives right here in the Bu. But what has he done for us lately?

Please check out the article in the New York Times business section today about the highest paid executive in the U.S., Larry Ellison, who lives right here in the Bu. He’s famous for buying up beach properties to add to his kingdom, including as many as a dozen properties along Carbon Beach, as well as Nobu and Casa Malibu.

Check out the sidebar which shows his escalating pay from $61 million in 2007 to almost $100 million in 2012.  Funny, huh?  Though his stamp is on local properties, I don't see him stepping up to the plate to buy a skateboard park or a ball field.  Hey, he can plaster his name all over whatever donations he wants to make to the city that he is sucking sand from, as far as I am concerned.  He should buy Lunacy Park, the hotel property and La Paz for starters - a mere drop in the bucket for him - then donate the land to the City for recreation for our kids.

What do you say Mr. Ellison?  Wouldn't that make you feel a whole lot better than adding another mega palace to your portfolio?
