Malibu Adoptions Can Save These Lives

Lychee

Everyone who sees this little teddy bear, Lychee, is nuts about her. She's just so yummy. Lychee is one of the smallest chow mixes you can imagine at 38 pounds.

She's a girl who is always happy to greet you, even if it means she has been awakened from her nap. She's happy with a "hi" at the front of the kennel but, better yet, if you are standing, leash in hand, she'll let you slip the rope on without any hesitation. She's a well-balanced dog with a great temperament.  Never cross, always mindful of her handler, she'd be such an easy companion for a first-time dog owner, someone who wants a calm yet sprightly friend, or even a family who has a lot going on and wants a canine in the household.

Lychee isn't troubled by other dogs at all. She's quite independent, seems fine to be alone, but can also have the company of fuzzy friends. This fluffy little lady has been at the shelter for a few weeks now and is seriously seeking a new home. That kibble just doesn't hit the spot the way a bowlful at your house would. Lychee's ID Adoption # is A1393638.

Tickles
"I don't have much to do in ISO, no one to play with except the RVT's who come in whenever they can to visit. So, I'm spending my time thinking about the future. I'm imagining getting my belly rubbed. Rolling in the grass. Cuddling up beside my new best friend. Finding crumbs of something yummy that my owner didn't realize he/she had dropped. And now I'M ALL SMILES!!!!" So reports Tickles, one of the sweetest dogs at the South L.A. shelter. What a great temperament!

Although Tickles was brought into the shelter after being hit by a car, luckily, the damage was minor. You can see the wounds on her face, now healing nicely. And she's got a bit of mild hip dysplasia as well. But, nothing can ever detract from that big, silly, light-up-her-face grin.

Tickles is such a happy girl, so ready to start life anew. She's had some pups in the past, maybe not exactly the life she had hoped for early on. But, she's just the right age and size and temperament now to find a new home. This girl is a total charmer. Tickles' ID Adoption No. is A1399456.
