Topanga Theater Group Awarded Grant
Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum is a professional theatre company that performs in a natural amphitheater in Topanga Canyon.
Topanga-based Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum was one of 194 nonprofit art organizations to receive a two-year grant this month.
A total of $4.3 million was awarded by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission to the nonprofits as part of its Organizational Grant Program, which is $200,000 from two years ago.
The grant amounts ranged from $3,500 to $214,400. Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum received $31,800 for marketing costs. The organization is a professional theatre company that performs in a natural amphitheater in Topanga Canyon.

“These grants ensure that a wide variety of cultural services will continue to reach County residents,” said Los Angeles County Arts Commission President Peter Lesnik. “Many organizations are receiving funding to pay for salaries or job creation. This will positively impact the residents of Los Angeles County through increased job opportunities.”
