City of Malibu Planning Division

The Planning Division is part of the city's Environmental and Community Development Department. City planners review projects for compliance with the city's land use regulations, prepare planning documents for the City Council (including proposed updates to regulations) and completes environmental documentation for proposed projects, among other duties. The division head is Joyce Parker-Bozylinski. She was the planning director from 1993 to 1996 when Planning was its own department. She returned to Malibu in 2009 to reclaim her old post with its new name.
