Why does the headline even mention this man's father? It is irrelevant!! Why the "richRead More daddy" comment? Why the mean-spirited comments? Haven't any of you ever had a friend or family member with a mental illness? Traumatic brain injury? Drug or alcohol problem? It appears that Mr. Gable needs help, and yes, he should be held accountable for his actions. But neither he nor anyone else should be subjected to the vitriolic attacks above. Why don't you commentators find a way to be a positive force in this community instead of trying to be law enforcement, judge, jury and executioner?

Maybe he was having a stroke, I once found my 70 year old neighbor trying to start up her car in aRead More dazed state. She had an appointment and was insisting that she should drive. I thought she was having a reaction to too much medication. After much protest from her, I managed to get her back into her house and she got into her bed, refusing to go to the hospital. So I called her doctor and he said if she got worse just call an ambulance. I managed to contact her close friends and they basically insisted she go to the hospital. The hospital said she was having a major stroke, I never would have believed it was a stroke, I didn't recognize the symtoms at all. The only thing I would have said was that her eyes were very glazed over and she appeared drunk but there was no other physical symptoms. She died a few days later. I was annoyed at myself for not even thinking she was having a stroke, I always thought a stroke came with physical changes like a crooked mouth or numbness on one side, but she had none of that. In fact after she sat in her bed, she picked up the newspaper to read..

I'm not sure if this will work, but I think it's worth trying acupuncture. My daughter goes to aRead More great place called "The Art of Wellness" in Santa Monica and sees Dr. Tan. She thinks he's helped her tremendously. The other suggestion is trying an electric bed and sleep with the bed raised both for the legs and the head so it doesn't put a strain on your back. I'm hoping and praying this suggestion will help.

Please take a look at Mendocino art center. We in Malibu have much to learn from this amazing littleRead More center of creativity. As a local Malibu based professional artist I would love to see a "headquarters" of sorts for creativity of all sorts. No, I don't happen to belong to the Malibu Art Assoc. I went a few times to meetings and really didn't get what I was needing at the time, very nice people though. I need to be surrounded by artists making a living at their arts, not just a sort of hobby for themselves. I certainly wouldn't mind teaching at a facility here in Malibu also. I envision where the old postal building was next to Urgent Care as being a clubhouse, gallery, and school for our many talented folks out here! Come visit my site at http://www.theorganicgallery.com and stop and say Hello !
