Lauren Lola has been serving as a freelancer for Newark Patch since June 2011 and also maintains three series of blogs as a blogger as of June 2012.  She is a life-time resident of Newark, California and as a freelancer mainly reports on arts-related happenings and other events within the area.
Currently, she is a full-time college student at CSU East Bay where she's majoring in Communication and minoring in Theatre.  In addition to writing for Newark Patch, she previously served as the Assistant Arts & Entertainment Editor of CSUEB's student-run publication, The Pioneer (read her articles from there by searching her name at http://thepioneeronline.com/) and as a content writer for the bi-daily newsletter at FanimeCon 2012. Lauren plans to graduate in 2014 and then take on a MFA either in Creative Writing at CSU Long Beach or Screenwriting at CSU Fullerton.
